Attach the cable adjuster to the bracket. Position the adjuster so that it is screwed all the way in. Do not tighten the lock nuts on the adjuster yet. • Route the new ‘carburettor’ cable around and out the RHS of the bike under the frame rail as shown in the following photos. Installing the Vacuum Actuator • Mount the actuator on the RHS fairing support using the bracket provided and two bolts, nuts and flat washers. The mounting bracket fits on the inside face of the fairing bracket. The small plate fits on the outside and clamps the actuator to the faring frame.

Step 1: Identify the key components that complete our Super bike KIT, you should have 1 complete 3 line kit (front Kit), 1 single banjo bolt and 2 lower male adapters. There are also a total of 6 washers, 4 will be used, and 2 are spares. The Left hose has a locating clip and there is a new bolt to bolt that on. We ALWAYS strongly suggest having a professional mechanic install these brake lines, all other installations VOID warranty. Inspect your brake system after every race. A: Right Caliper B: Please re-use stock routing clip for right line Step 2: Cover the complete front end of the bike so that if any brake fluid does spill the paint will not be damaged, brake fluid will spill, there is no question!! Step 3: Uninstall stock hoses; be aware of how the stock system was routed in case you need to re-install it. Step 4: Install onto the calipers the Galfer male adapters, the course thread area threads to the caliper with one washer. Torque level is 12 to 13 ft pounds. See Picture C

1. Place the motorcycle on its centerstand. Do this on a hard surface so the motorcycle will not easily tip. Do not do this on gravel or dirt. 2. Remove the air dam/lower cowl to gain access to the oil filter housing. Using a 12mm 6-point socket, remove the original oil filter bolt and housing. The engine will lose approx. ½ quart of oil when changing the filter. 3. Clean the engine surface behind the oil filter housing where the o-ring will seat. Install the adapter plate with the new o-ring supplied onto the threaded boss protruding from the engine with 0-ring side facing the engine. 4. Screw the hollow stud with the jam nut into the engine where the original filter bolt went. Note that the end with the longer portion of threads goes into the engine. Screw the stud in until it is finger tight. Check to be sure the o-ring on the back of the filter plate is sill in its groove. Tighten the jam nut with a 12″ crescent wrench. Be careful your wrench does not slip and marr the surface of the filter plate. Use approx. 15 to 20 lbs of force at the end of the wrench to tighten the stud. 5. YAMAHA VENTURES ONLY : The frame brace needs to be raised slightly to give you more clearance for a filter wrench when changing your filter in the future. This brace between the right & left frame rails directly over the filter. Loosen the four (2 per side) 8mm bolts (12mm wrench size) that have the long acorn nuts. After loosening the four bolts, you will notice that there is approximately ¼” slack in these bolts. Lift the brace up as far as possible & retighten the bolts. 6. Coat the new filter gasket with oil. Spin the new filter onto the adapter plate until the gasket makes contact, and then tighten ¾ of one turn. This must be done each time you install a new filter. Use a filter wrench if necessary. Be sure your filter is tight! 7. Add ½ quart of oil or change the oil if you desire. Start the engine. Allow it to run for 30 seconds or more. Rev the engine to 4,000 rpm for 20-30 seconds. Shut the engine off & check thoroughly for any oil leaks.

Always adjust both shock absorber assemblies equally, otherwise poor handling and loss of stability may result. To increase the spring preload and thereby harden the suspension, turn the adjusting ring on each shock absorber assembly in direction (a). To decrease the spring preload and thereby soften the suspension, turn the adjusting ring on each shock absorber assembly in direction (b). Align the appropriate notch in the adjusting ring with the position indicator on the shock absorber. Spring preload setting: Minimum (soft): 1 Standard: 3 Maximum (hard): 5 EAU36700 Luggage strap holders 1. Luggage strap holder There are four luggage strap holders on the bottom of the seat. To use the strap holders, remove the seat, unhook the straps from the hooks, and then install the seat with the straps hanging out from under the seat. (See page 3-9.) EAU15301 Sidestand The sidestand is located on the left side of the frame. Raise the sidestand or lower it with your foot while holding the motorcycle upright. The built-in sidestand switch is part of the ignition circuit cut-off system, which cuts the ignition in certain situations. (See further down for an explanation of the ignition circuit cut-off system.) EWA10240 The vehicle must not be ridden with the sidestand down, or if the sidestand cannot be properly moved up (or does not stay up), otherwise the sidestand could contact the ground and distract the operator, resulting in a possible loss of control. Yamaha’s ignition circuit cut-off system has been designed to assist the operator in fulfilling the responsibility of raising the sidestand before starting off. Rear brake lever The rear brake lever is located on the left handlebar grip. To apply the rear brake, pull this lever toward the handlebar grip. EAU13182 Fuel tank cap To remove the fuel tank cap, turn it counterclockwise, and then pull it off. To install the fuel tank cap, insert it into the tank opening, and then turn it clock- wise. WARNING EWA11091 Make sure that the fuel tank cap is properly closed after filling fuel. Leaking fuel is a fire hazard. EAU13221 Fuel Make sure there is sufficient gasoline in the tank. WARNING EWA10881 Gasoline and gasoline vapors are extremely flammable. To avoid fires and explosions and to reduce the risk of injury when refueling, follow these instructions. 1. Before refueling, turn off the engine and be sure that no one is sitting on the vehicle. Never refuel while smoking, or while in the vicinity of sparks, open flames, or other sources of ignition such as the pilot lights of water heaters and clothes dryers. 2. Do not overfill the fuel tank. When refueling, be sure to insert the pump nozzle into the fuel tank filler hole. Stop filling when the fuel reaches the bottom of the filler tube. Because fuel expands when it heats up, heat from the engine or the sun can cause fuel to spill out of the fuel tank. Your Yamaha engine has been designed to use regular unleaded gasoline with a pump octane number [(R+M)/2] of 86 or higher, or a research octane number of 91 or higher. If knocking (or pinging) occurs, use a gasoline of a different brand or premium unleaded fuel. Use of unleaded fuel will extend spark plug life and reduce maintenance costs. Gasohol There are two types of gasohol: gasohol containing ethanol and that containing methanol. Gasohol containing ethanol can be used if the ethanol content does not exceed 10% (E10). Gasohol containing methanol is not recommended by Yamaha because it can cause damage to the fuel system or vehicle performance problems

1. Place motorcycle on solid, level ground and on center stand if equipped. 2. Remove your turn signal lens. Place it upside down and clean the lens interior with the supplied alcohol wipe. Allow to completely air dry. Note: the LEDs are mounted to the inside of the turn signal lens with the LEDs making direct contact with the lens. The supplied silicone is used to secure the LED board to the lens. It remains flexible but can be removed. Test fit the board in your lens prior to using silicone. 3. Using a small screwdriver, poke a small hole in the end of the tube of silicone. Place a dab of silicone on each of the 12 LEDs on the circuit board. CAUTION : Note the position of the metal pins on the back of the LED board, They must be located 90 degrees from where the holes are that secure the lens to the housing. See attached diagram. 4. Position the round circuit board over the inside of your turn signal lens with the LEDs facing down. Get the board as centered as possible. Allow the silicone to make contact with the inside of the lens and then push down and slightly rotate the board back and forth to allow the LEDs to make contact with the lens surface. Repeat other side. NOTE : the silicone will require 30 minutes in 70 degree weather to tack up. Full cure will occur within 24 hours. We suggest not riding for several hours if possible to allow the best adhesion. 5. You will need to access the following wires; running light (license plate can be used), brake lights, right turn and left turn. Disassemble the bike as needed to gain access to the wiring. Shop Tip: we have found that on the Yamaha Star Series and the Kawasaki Cruisers that installation is much easier when you remove the turn signal bar from the fender. On the Yamahas, there are 3 bolts holding the moustache in position. The wires will unplug from behind the license plate. On the Kawasakis, unplug the signals under the seat and bend the tabs under the fender to be able to remove the wires. 6. We have provided some tubing to slide over the wires so that when you re-install the bulb socket, our wires for the LED boards will not be pinched. This tube should be slid all the way into the turn signal housing. You may have to shorten the tubing for your installation. 7. You will need to run wires through the stem of the turn signal. You can see samples of how the various manufacturers signal housings come apart on our web site. Click on “Other Lighting Products” and then “Turn Signal Conversion Kits” and follow the link. We suggest placing the removed turn signal assembly on a towel on your work area. 7. You will need to leave 2″ of slack in the wires at the turn signal housing to allow for wire connection. 8. Reinstall the turn signal housing back on the motorcycle if removed. NOTE: both of the run/brake circuits must be used. You may shorten the wires only on the run/brake circuits as needed. Do not change the circuits under the heat shrink. T-Tap instructions. Lay the “donor” wire in the slot in the burgandy connector. Close and snap together with pliars. Strip some insulation off of the wire which will be tapping into the factory wire. Crimp one of the pink connectors on the bare wire and plug it into the burgandy T-Tap 9. Connect the green wires from the run/brake circuits to the bikes running lights. The 2 greens can be connected together. 10. Connect the blue wires from the run/brake circuits to the bikes brake lights. The 2 blues can be connected together. 11. Take one of the red wires from a run/brake circuit and connect it to one of the black with white stripe wires coming from one of the LED boards using the supplied red butt connector. Connect the other run/brake circuit red wire to the remaining black with white stripe wire on the other LED board. 12. Connect the black wire from the LED board on the right side of the bike to the right turn signal positive (+) wire on the motorcycle. 13. Connect the black wire from the LED board on the left side of the bike to the left turn signal positive (+) wire on the motorcycle. 14. Plug the wires into the LED boards. If you hold the turn signal lens so that you are viewing the back of the LED board, position the connectors on the board at the 12 o’clock (top) position. The connector on the left is the positive (+) terminal. Connect the red wire to it. Connect the black wire to the remaining connector on the right side. 15. Check operation. LEDs should come on with running lights. LEDs will brighten when brake lights are applied. LEDs will shut off when the amber turn signal comes on. 16. Remove both Allen bolts that hold the muffler together (Fig. 1) . Also Loosen clamp from the front muffler to front head pipe (Fig. 2) , and remove allen bolts from rear head pipe and remove in one peace carefully (Fig. 3) . Figure 1 Figure Figure 3 2. Once the two mufflers are removed with the rear head pipe, remove bracket by removing two 8mm bolts as shown and remove bracket. (Fig 4) Figure 4 3. Remove spring from brake light switch to the brake rod located on the right side footrest. (Fig 5) Figure 5 4. Remove two bolts holding the footrest, and brake pedal (Fig. 6) . Carefully rest right side footrest on the floor or you can use a two by four to rest the footrest onto. Figure 6 5. Remove front head pipe by removing two nuts on the head pipe flange as shown in figure (Fig 7). Now your stock exhaust should be fully remove as shown in (Fig.8) Figure 7 Figure 8 6. Remove right side exhaust stud with a stud remover or double nut two 8mm nuts and remove stud. (Fig. 9 & 10) Note: We supply two 8mm x 1.25 flange nuts in the hardware kit so you can remove the stud. Figure 9 Figure 10 Assembly 7. Tape off your frame and parts of the motor before installing the Roadhouse exhaust, this will prevent any scratches on your V-Star. (Fig. 11) Figure 11 8. Mount Roadhouse muffler bracket on bike with supplied two 8mm x 1.25 x 20mm flange bolts as shown in (Fig. 12). Figure 12 9. Slide front head flange onto Roadhouse front head pipe as shown in (Fig. 13) . Once head flange is mounted on head pipe mount head pipe into port as shown in (Fig. 14) and use from hardware kit (one) 8mm x 1.25 x 25mm flange bolts and one of the stock nuts to mount on the stud (Fig. 15) . Make collar is flush with the front port and tighten flange bolt and nut.

1. Be sure the main switch is in the off position during the installation process. Failure to do this will cause the “check engine” light to be set. 2. Remove seat exposing the tool tray and battery. 3. Remove the (2) 12mm Hex head bolts securing rear of tank. Prop up the rear of the tank. 4. Locate and unplug the white 4-pin connector under left side of tank as shown in figure 1. 5. Route Fuelpak as shown in figure 2. Plug Fuelpak white connectors to the factory connectors unplugged in step 4. 6. Connect brown and green wires to the negative side of the battery. 7. Route Fuelpak long black wire under right side of tank and down to the horn as shown in figure 3. Disconnect the factory black / white wire from horn. Plug in Fuelpak long black wire to horn and then connect factory black / white wire to terminal on Fuelpak black wire. 8. Locate the throttle position sensor on the throttle body located on right side of the tank. As shown in figure 4, attach T-tap to yellow / black wire on throttle position sensor. Connect Fuelpak violet wire to T-tap. 9. Using supplied Velcro, mount Fuelpak next to tool tray as shown in figure 5. 10. Reinstall tank with (2) 12mm Hex head bolts removed in step 3. 11. You are now ready to set-up your Fuelpak 1. Remove Fuelpak clear case cover by removing all four screws, save hardware . 2. Turn on main power with key, but do not start engine. Fuelpak display should light up, if not, turn power off and verify the connectors are fully seated. 3. Refer to Fuelpak Setting Reference to locate the Setting Values specific to your bike and exhaust system. If you do not find your setting, visit fuelpakfi.com or call tech support at (562) 921-0071. 4. Starting with mode 1 selected, press the value (+) or the value (-) buttons to input the correct value as indicated in your Setting Value. After entering your first value, press the mode select button to move to mode 2 and enter the value. Continue until you have entered the value for each of the first 18 mode positions. Each time the value (+) is pressed, the value increases by one number. Each time the value (-) is pressed, the value decreases by one number. (Please refer to the “How It Works” section directly above if you have questions about this step. 5. As the next procedure, after you have entered in your values for the first 18 modes, press the mode select button to move to mode 19. Fully twist open the throttle and return to idle position to calibrate the Fuelpak to your bike. 6. By pressing the mode select button twice, move to mode 21 and verify that it reads “0″ with the throttle closed, “50″ at approximately half-throttle and “99″ when fully opened; if not, repeat step 5. Do not proceed to step 7 until mode 21 is verified. 7. Enter any other mode values as required for your application. 8. Turn off power. 9. Reinstall clear cover, tuck Fuelpak under seat area and reinstall seat. 10. You are now ready to ride
