1. Remove the lower fairing. Remove thelower radiator mounting bolts, loosen the upper bolts and pivot the radiator forward to provide access to the exhaust nuts (flange nuts). Remove the oil cooler mounting bolts and pivot the oil cooler forward to provide access. 2. Remove the existing exhaust system and save the flange nuts for reuse. Save the stock exhaust can mounting bolt and nut for reuse as well. 3. Inspect the exhaust gaskets. Replace if necessary. 4. Assemble the head pipes 1 (blue), 2 (red), 3 (yellow), and 4 (green) by matching the joints of the same color to the pair of front Y-pipes. Do not install the exhaust springs at this time. 5. 2000 through 2002 models ONLY!!! Place a billet aluminum exhaust port centering flange Z on each TiForce headpipe -see figure 3 for details. 6. Attachthe assembled head pipe sections to the exhaust ports, but do not tighten the flange nuts fully, allowing for some adjustment in the remaining steps. Reuse the flange nuts saved from step 2 above. Make sure the ends of the headpipes fit flush and snug in the ports and centering flanges Z before tightening (’00-’02 ONLY). 7. Install the S-Bend to the front section of the headpipes and two Y-pipes. 8. Go back and retighten the head pipe flange nuts per factory specifications -make sure the headpipes and flanges Z are centered in each port (’00-’02 ONLY!!! ) . 9. Slide the TiForce end can into place. 10. Loosely attach the two rubber bands, stainless steel bands K, and stay / hanger G to the end can using the supplied 6mm hardware H. See figure 1. 11. Place the bands approximately 108 mm from the edge of the end can. See figure 2. 12. Using the stock provided mounting point on the passenger footpeg, and using the stock mounting bolt, mount the end can loosely, allowing for some adjustment. Insert the stock mounting bolt through the stay / hanger G. 13. Attach the supplied springs to all the joints, starting from the headpipes and working back to the end can. 14. Make sure the exhaust system is free and clear, if necessary jiggle the system to adjust for proper clearance. 15. Carefully align the two stainless bands K so that they are parallel to each other, and spaced properly on the can (refer to step 11 /figure 2), then tighten the 6mm hardware H and the stock mounting bolt hardware. Make sure that the rubber pads fully cover the band(s). USE CAUTIONWHEN TIGHTENING THE 6MM HARDWARE AND THE TWO BANDS SO AS NOT TO CRUSH OR DISTORT THE SLEEVE OF THE CAN.

1. Remove both saddlebags and side covers from the motorcycle 2. Remove seat and place it away from the work area; disconnect battery. 3. Cover the primary housing, transmission top, and end cover near the head pipe to prevent damage. 4. Remove the bolt for the passenger floorboard that attaches it to the frame. 5. Remove the right side rider floorboard and support brackets. Loosen muffler clamps; remove the support bolts located at the rear upper portion of the mufflers. Remove mufflers from the head pipes. Unscrew clamps on the factory heat shields, and remove heat shields from the head pipes. 6. Unplug both O² sensors. Cut and remove the ZIPSTRIP that holds the front O² sensor wire to the frame. Loosen clamp on the rear exhaust pipe; remove the left side pipe, while leaving the split pipe in place. 7. Loosen clamp on crossover pipe and remove leaving right side exhaust intact. 8. Remove nuts on the flanges located at the cylinder heads. Remove the right side pipe as one unit. 9. Use snap ring pliers to carefully remove the circlips on each pipe inlet; remove

1. Find and unplug the O² sensor wires from the wiring harness and remove the ZIPSTRIP holding front O² sensor wires to the frame. Feed the end of the wire through the frame so they are free from the motorcycle. Note: pay attention to wire routing for re-installation. 2. Loosen the heat shield clamps on both the front and rear head pipe to gain easier access to the mounting nuts. 3. Remove the two head pipe mounting nuts from the flange at the heads. 4. Remove the clamp bolts that mounts the rear head pipe to the belt drive cover bracket. 5. Remove the two bolts from each muffler body where they attach to the stock mounting bracket. Carefully remove the exhaust system from the motorcycle and set aside. 6. Using a 7/8″ wrench, carefully remove the O² sensors from the stock head pipes and save for re-use on your RUSH system. 7. Remove the drive belt cover and remove the bracket off the rear cover bolt, bracket will not be re-used. 8. Loosen the brake rod at the rear eyelet using a T-30 torx socket. 9. Remove the three mounting bolts and washers attaching the exhaust mounting bracket. 10. If equipped with mid-controls, remove right side foot peg before installing your new RUSH system.

1. Under the oil tank on the right hand side, locate the rear O2 sensor connector. Unplug sensor and feed the end of wire through the frame freeing it from motorcycle. NOTE: Pay attention to wire routing for re-installation. 2. Open the plastic cover above the rectifi er on front of the frame to gain access to the front O2 sensor connector. Unplug sensor from harness. Remove cable tie holding wire to frame and feed the end of the wire through, freeing it from motorcycle. 3. On FLSTC, FLSTF, FLSTN and FLSTSC models, loosen the right hand fl oor board mounting bolts to gain clearance for exhaust removal and installation. 4. Loosen the heat shield clamps on both front and rear exhaust pipes. 5. Remove the two mounting nuts from each head pipe, located at the cylinder head. 6. Remove the nuts attaching the exhaust mount bracket to the frame. 7. On FLSTN, FLSTF and FXSTD models, you will need to remove the right side passenger footpeg and hanger, as this is attached to the exhaust mount bracket. Remove hanger, and replace the passenger foot peg assembly using the 3/8″ x 2 1/2″ Allen bolt (supplied). 8. If equipped, unbolt the carriage bolt and clamp attached to the bracket under the right side transmission cover. 9. Remove the entire exhaust system and set it aside. 10. If equipped, remove the bracket from under the right side transmission cover. 11. Using a 7/8″ or 22mm wrench, carefully remove the O2 sensors from the stock head pipes and save for re-use with the new system. 12. Remove the two lower mounting studs from the frame (Figure 1). 13. Carefully remove exhaust port fl anges and circlips from the stock exhaust system using snapring pliers. NOTE: Replace bent or damaged circlips. Check exhaust port gasket condition. Recommended replacement exhaust port gaskets, Harley part number:17048-98 or 65324-83A

1. Remove seat to gain access to rear oxygen sensor connector. Unplug sensor and feed end of wire through frame so that it is free from motorcycle. NOTE: Pay attention to wire routing for re-installation. 2. Remove two bolts holding rectifi er onto front of frame (near front tire). Open plastic cover to gain access to front oxygen sensor connector. Unplug sensor from harness. Remove cable tie holding wire to frame and feed end of wire through so that it is free from motorcycle. 3. Loosen heat shield clamps on both the front and rear head pipes. 4. Remove two cylinder exhaust port fl ange nuts from each head pipe, located at the cylinder head. 5. Remove front head pipe clamp bolt. 6. Remove the bolt that attaches muffl ers to the frame mounting bar. 7. Remove the complete exhaust system and set aside. Assistance may be required. 8. Remove stock mounting bar and the studs in the transmisson cover. Save the bolts, one will be re-used. 9. Remove left bolt below the transmission cover. Position mounting bracket 390-P over mounting location to determine which bolts to remove (Figure 1). Install this bolt in the top hole left vacant by the new bracket. 10. Carefully remove the fl anges and circlips from the stock exhaust system using snapring pliers. NOTE: Replace bent or damaged circlips. Check condition of stock exhaust gaskets. Replace if worn or damaged. (Recommended replacement exhaust port gaskets, Screamin’ Eagle part number 17048-98). 11. Remove stock oxygen sensors, they will be re-used on new system

1. Remove both left and right saddlebags and set them aside. 2. Loosen the bolt from the pinch clamp on the front end of each muffl er. Note: On older model Dressers, spread the clamps just enough to remove them. 3. Remove the two 5/16″ bolts that mount the muffl er to the saddlebag supports. Repeat this step on the opposite muffl er. 4. Remove the stock muffl ers with sliding hangers and set them aside. Note: It may be necessary to use a penetrating lubricant to loosen the muffl er from the head pipe. 5. Remove the right hand fl oor board. 6. Remove both passenger fl oor boards. 7. Loosen the heat shield clamps on both front and rear exhaust pipes. 8. Loosen the rear head pipe clamp located behind the rear cylinder. Remove the section of head pipe connecting the left side muffl er. 9. Remove the clamp holding the front head pipe to the transmission housing. 10. Remove the two mounting nuts from each head pipe, located at the cylinder head. Carefully remove the head pipes and set them aside. 11. Remove the rear cylinder bracket by removing the two starter mounting bolts. Install new mounting bracket (stamped 353-P), and torque to (13-16) ft. lbs. (Figure 1). Make sure the battery ground cable is secure and properly routed. Install mounting post (from stock system) so the nut is accessible from right side of motorcycle and saddle will support underside of exhaust pipe. Note: Pre 1998 dressers do not come with this mounting post. It can be ordered from your local dealer, Harley part number: 65619-98. 12. Carefully remove the exhaust port fl anges and circlips from the stock exhaust system using snapring pliers. Note: If circlips look bent or twisted replace them

1. Before removing the stock exhaust system note orientation particularly of the support bar between the two muffl er bodies (Figure 1) and the muffl er clamps. If necessary, using tape or another easily removable means, note the orientation on the stock support to ease re-installation. 2. Remove the four 1/2″ lock nuts that hold the support bar to the stock muffl ers and remove the stock support bar and bolts (set the nuts. bolts and support bar aside as they will be used later). 3. Using the 9/16″ deep socket, loosen the clamps holding the muffl ers onto the head pipes and remove the muffl ers from the head pipes. NOTE: May require assistance and the use of penetrating oil. 4. The stock muffl er clamps may be re-used. However Vance & Hines recommends replacing them with new clamps (Harley part number 65283-94). If using the stock clamps, be sure the T-Bolt does not twist out of the groove during tightening. This could allow the clamp to loosen with use

Check top clamp holding on rear heat shield be sure this is mounted forward not in middle of pipe. 2. Slide rear head pipe into collector and leave loose. 3. Mount head pipes into exhaust ports using stock Harley gaskets hand thread nuts onto head studs, leaving play in pipes. 4. Slip muffler onto collector and leave loose. 5. Slide D&D bracket included with kit onto chassis and muffler together. 6. Hand thread nuts onto chassis studs 7. Align muffler flush with bracket, hand thread bolts onto muffler.
8. Push system together tightly, Tighten rear head pipe collector clamp. 9. Holding muffler into place (finger width between shock bolt) tighten down muffler clamp all the way. 10. Snug (do not torque) chassis bracket bolts, snug muffler bolts until all is correctly aligned, then tighten down bolts. 11. Tighten head bolts down using factory torque specs, as you tighten the pipe check muffler clearance. If to close to swing arm push in on head pipe. If to far away push in on head pipe. 12. Once all is tight start bike and check for leaks This system is designed to be used with a high flow air filter and D&D VRDSEDD2.MT4 Race Tuner map.

Check condition of stock exhaust gasket. Replace if damaged or worn. 2. Install mounting bracket (stamped 384-P) in the original bracket mounting position using two 8mm bolts (supplied)(Figure 1). Note: Install two 5/16″ x 5/8″ fl ange bolts (supplied)(Figure 1) into top holes of bracket before installing bracket onto motorcycle. 3. Mark outside surface of front and rear heat shields with location of mounting clips that are welded to the inside (Figure 2). Place each heat shield on a non abrasive surface such as a blanket or carpet. Lay each head pipe/muffl er onto its respective heat shield (Figure 3). 4. Loosely install each hose clamp by feeding tail end of clamp into heat shield clip (Figure 2). #20 hose clamps are for head pipes and #28 hose clamps for muffl er area. Take note of clamp screw head direction (Figure 4). Screw head should be accessible when system is installed on motorcycle for adjustment purposes. Note: Do not tighten yet. 5. Install 6″ fl ange bolts (supplied) engaging nut plate. Leave T-bolt clamp onto front muffl er (Figure 4&5). Slide muffl er onto front head pipe. Slide nut plate (supplied) inside bracket welded to backside of front muffl er (Figure 6). Attach muffl er to mounting bracket 384-P using two 5/1head pipe/muffl er assembly loose at this time. 6. Using stock Allen bolts, carefully install rear head pipe/ muffl er assembly into exhaust port. (Assistance may be required). Note: Do not tighten yet. 7. Slide nut plate (supplied) inside bracket welded to backside of rear muffl er (Figure 6). 8. Align muffl ers so they are parallel when viewed from the right side of the motorcycle and muffl er tips align at the same length. Tighten 5/16″ fl ange bolts securing muffl ers to bracket. 9. Tighten cylinder exhaust port bolts securing head pipes to cylinder head. 10. Tighten T-bolt clamp securing front muffl er to head pipe. 11. Adjust heat shields so that muffl er tips protrude 1/4″ from heat shields (Figure 7) and rotation of heat shield matches muffl er tip. Tighten all hose clamps securing heat shields. 12. After installation and before starting motorcycle, completely clean pipes and muffl ers with cleaning solvent and a clean, soft cloth that will not leave a residue. Note: Any residue, oil, or fi ngerprints will stain the chrome when the metal heats up. 13. All hardware must be properly tightened before starting motorcycle
