Removethechrome right air filter cover. Release the brake fluid reservoir from its mount. Follow the oxygen sensor lead from the exhaust to the connector. It is mounted to the back of the brake fluid reservoir mounting bracket with cable ties. Cut the cable ties to release the connector from the bracket. Gently pull the connector apart. Insert the male O2 connector from the R259 into the oxygen sensor lead. Connect the female side of the R259sO2 connector to the bike’swiringharness side. Make sure both sets of connectors are fully seated. 1. Flip up seat, to gain access to radiator reservoir area. 2. Remove Dzus fastener to remove simulated fuel tank cover, over airbox housing. Depending on which model V-Rod is being worked on, the front shrouds covering the upper front frame section may also need to be removed. 3. Place Fi2000 in under-seat area, run fuel injector connector harness up right side frame rail between top right frame rail, and radiator overflow tank, see Figure 1. At the rear of the airbox, route the harness below the airbox, and downward next to the inner radiator hose. Unplug both stock fuel injector connectors, on the front and rear injectors between the engine cylinders, see Figure 2. These are disconnected, by depressing the metal springs that are on the end of each female connector. The stock female connectors are marked “F” and “R”, noting which connector goes to the front and rear injector, be sure to pay attention to this. Now connect the longer male Fi2000 connector to the front female H.D. connector. Plug shorter Fi2000 male connector into the stock rear female H.D. connector. Then plug the longer female Cobra connector onto the front stock H.D. injector. Plug the shorter Fi2000 female connector onto the rear injector. Each injector connector pair should rest underneath each respective injector. 4. It is now time to install the oxygen sensor eliminator modules. This product is designed to eliminate the “check engine” light from coming on when the stock oxygen sensors are disconnected on Harley Davidson Motorcycles utilizing fuel injection. The motorcycle has a full “open loop” fuel injection map written in its ECU and the motorcycle reverts to this default map after the oxygen sensors have been removed or just disconnected. 5. Locate the rear oxygen sensor and follow the harness up to the under-seat area behind the radiator overflow tank. Pull the stock connectors up from below the overflow tank and disconnect, see Figure 1. Plug one of the supplied Oxygen sensor eliminators on to the stock male connector. Tuck the connectors back underneath the bracket behind the radiator overflow tank. 6. Now locate the front oxygen sensor on the front headpipe, and trace the oxygen sensor harness back to the connectors tucked between the left front frame rail and plastic radiator shroud, see Figure 3. Pull these connectors out, and disconnect them. Plug the remaining supplied oxygen sensor eliminator on to the stock male connector. This kit is designed for installation on 1986 and later FLST®, FLSTC®, FLSTN®and 1991 and later Touring models. (Except 2004 and later FLHRS®and FLTR®) NOTE: Will not fit when equipped with Flat Lens Turn Signal Module (Part Number 91699-99A). Installation 1. Disconnect turn signal wires. For 1999 and later models: See Figure 1. Remove taillight cover and disconnect turn signal wires at connectors shown in illustration. For 1998 and earlier models: Disconnect turn signal wires at connectors located in directional bar. On 1994 and later models there are two wires for each turn signal lamp. Earlier models have only 1 wire per lamp. 2. Remove existing directional bar from motorcycle and save hardware for re-installation. If the turn signal connector is too large to be removed from the directional bar, remove the wires from the connector as follows: Bend back the connector latches on the sides of the connector slightly to free the secondary lock. Rotate the secondary lock outward on hinge to access terminals in chambers of connector housing. With a paper clip sharpened to a chisel point, insert the paper clip into the connector housing cavity until it stops. Pivot the end of the paper clip and gently tug on the wire to pull the terminal from the cavity. Do not tug on the wire until the tang that holds the terminal in the cavity is released. Take your time, a few tries may be required before you develop a feel for releasing the terminal from the connector. 3. Remove screws that mount turn signals lamps to existing directional bar. Remove lamps and turn signal wires (with their attached connector halves) from existing bar. 4. Position directional bar in mounting location at rear fender and secure bar to motorcycle using original hardware removed in step 2. Route turn signal wires from motorcycle back into directional bar, or up to taillamp (if 1999 and later model) and mate connectors. If the wires were removed from the connector in step 2, insert the terminal ends of the wires into the connector until they snap in place, then mate connector halves.

INSTALLATION ON 2004 MODELS 1. Turn off the ignition switch and disconnect the battery ground cable before proceeding. 2. Refer to Figures 2 and 3 for wiring details. 3. Remove the Gill Module. 4. Cut off the OE 18 terminal AMP connector used with the Gill module. Refer to the terminal list. Crimp new Deutsch terminals on the wires, and install into the 12 terminal Deutsch connector required by the TC88A-IH module. 5. Install the new TC88A-IH module. 6. Reconnect the battery ground cable. INSTALLATION ON 2005 AND LATER MODELS 1. Turn off the ignition switch and disconnect the battery ground cable before proceeding. 2. Refer to Figures 4 and 5 for wiring details. 3. Remove the Gill Module. 4. Cut off the OE 18 terminal AMP connector used with the Gill module. 5. Extend the ground return wire from terminal A of the MAP sensor up to the ignition module, crimp on a Deutsch terminal and install in position 4 on the Deutsch connector. 8. Refer to the terminal list. Crimp new Deutsch terminals on the remaining wires, and install into the 12 terminal Deutsch connector required by the TC88A-IH module. 9. Use a DVM to verify isolation (no continuity) between terminals 4 and 9 on the Deutsch connector. 10. Verify continuity between terminal A at the MAP sensor and terminal 4 on the Deutsch connector. 11. Verify continuity between terminal 2 at the CKP sensor and terminal 9 on the on the Deutsch connector. 12. Install the new TC88A-IH module. 13. Reconnect the battery ground cable. STEP 1 – BATTERY CONNECTION Locate the battery and disconnect the negative battery cable. Mount the module in the open area in front of the battery with 2-tie straps or velcro straps, directing the harness from the module towards the 6 o’clock position. STEP 2 – THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR (TPS): Remove the air cleaner assembly and unplug the TPS sensor connector at the TPS sensor. The harness includes (2) TPS connectors which should be routed under the gas tank into the factory wire loom to the TPS sensor. The TPS sensor is located on the left side of the throttle body. Plug the (2) TPS connectors from the module in between the TPS sensor and to the factory TPS connector. STEP 3 – O2 SENSOR: Systems equipped with factory O2 sensors Rear: Unplug the Rear O2 sensor connector from the factory harness, which is located at the Rear exhaust pipe. Route the module’s harness which includes (2) O2 sensor connectors and connect one connector to the Rear O2 sensor and connect the other connector to the main factory O2 sensor connector. Front: Unplug the Front O2 sensor connector from the factory harness, which is located at the Front exhaust pipe. Route the module’s harness which includes (2) O2 sensor connectors, and connect one connector to the Front O2 sensor and connect the other connector to the main factory O2 sensor connector. Systems not equipped with factory O2 sensors NOTE: Many aftermarket exhaust systems are now equipped with plugged O2 sensor bungs which can be removed to accept an aftermarket O2 sensor. Typically these bungs already have a thread size of 18 mm x 1.5 mm. Exhaust systems not equipped with O2 sensor bungs need to have the supplied 18 mm x 1.5 mm thread size bung welded to the exhaust pipe in order to install an O2 sensor. The O2 sensor bung should be installed 3 to 6 inches away from the rear cylinder exhaust port and in front of the exhaust torque tube pipe area. The module prefers to receive information from the O2 sensor from an area that is NOT contaminated from atmospheric air. This air may enter through the tail pipe of an unrestricted or un-baffled exhaust pipe. The bung should not be installed in the “5 to 7 o’clock” area. If mounted in this area the O2 sensor can be damaged. The moisture from the gases exiting from the rear cylinder exhaust port will harm the ceramic shell element of the O2 sensor.

1. Always wear appropriate safety gear including safety glasses when soldering or performing any electrical work. It is highly recommended that safety glasses be worn throughout this installation process. Temperature of bike must be at least 60 degrees F. for tape to properly cure. Read all directions before starting project. 2. Turn fuel supply valve to off position before starting. Be sure bike is on level surface and secure and cool. 3. Important: Disconnect negative battery cable from battery; refer to owner’s manual. Failure do to so may result in electrical shock, injury, or fire. Secure negative battery cable away from positive side of battery and all other positive voltage sources on bike. 4. Select hidden locations to mount LED Accent Lights to provide best coverage. 5. Remove fuse from fuse holder. 6. Clean mounting locations on both motorcycle and accent lights with 3M promoter, promoter sponge will dry up quickly, place sponge in sealed plastic bag when not in use. Do not touch 3M promoter with bare fingers. 7. Place piece of double sided tape on accent light if needed, lights come pre-taped on back surface. Trim excess off sides with razor blade. Carefully remove backing from double sided tape and place light on selected mounting location. Press firmly and hold for 10 seconds. Repeat for all lights to be mounted on bike. 8. Route wires from accent lights back to central points near battery compartment under seat. Route wires such that they not interfere with normal operation of bike. Cut off any excess wires, strip back insulation as required. 9. Select several locations to secure wires to frame. Secure wires using tie wraps provided. 10. Join all black wires from LEDs into one Cage Clamp Connector #1. Join all Red wires from LEDs into Cage Clamp Con- nector #2, Join all Blue wires from LEDs into Cage Clamp Connector #3, Join all Green wires from LEDs into Cage Clamp Connector #4. 11. Connect Orange wire from the remote control wire harness to the Red Cage Clamp Connector, connect Blue wire from remote control wire harness to Blue Cage Clamp Connector, connect Green wire from remote control wire harness to Green Cage Clamp Connector. Connect White wire from remote control wire harness to Black Cage Clamp Connector. 12. Crimp spade connector on ends of remaining Red and Black wires from Remote Wiring Harness. Heat spade connector with heat gun so that it shrinks around wire. 13. Connect Red Wire to Positive (+) side of battery, and Black Wire to (-) Side of battery. Take necessary precautions when making connection and refer to bike’s owner’s manual. DO NOT allow any tools to touch both positive (+) side of battery and any metal surface on bike as it will cause a short which could result in serious injury and damage to the battery or other electrical circuits.

If positive (+) cable should contact ground with negative (-) cable connected, the resulting sparks can cause a battery explosion, which could result in death or serious injury. (00049a) 1.1995 MODELS, REMOVAL OF ELECTRONIC SPEEDOMETER AND BRACKET 1a. Refer to applicable Service Manual procedure and remove seat. 1b. Refer to applicable Service Manual procedure and remove fuel tank. Stop the engine when refueling or servicing the fuel system. Do not smoke or allow open flame or sparks near gasoline. Be sure wire guides are aligned with opening at bottom of bracket. 6c. Place rear gasket in position and align gasket tabs. Work gasket into space between speedometer and bracket by pushing speedometer against one side of bracket while pushing gasket into position at the opposite side. 6d. Add amber bulb assembly from kit to speedometer in order for tachometer and speedometer backlighting to match. 6e. Replace cover and boot from reset switch.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. 2. Grasp the sides of the electrical caddy (located next the ignition coil) and pull outward to remove. 3. Remove the relay and fuse panels from the electrical caddy. a. Insert a small screwdriver into the slot under each fuse and relay panel. b. Using a screwdriver, disengage the panel from the electrical caddy. 4. Disconnect the main fuse connector from the electrical caddy a. Remove the main fuse from the connector b. Insert small screwdrivers into the slots on each side of the main fuse c. Depress the tabs of the main fuse connector to disengage it from the electrical caddy

Disconnect the TSM/TSSM connector. 6. Slide the data link connector towards the front of the motorcycle to disengage it from the electrical caddy. 7. Disconnect the ignition control module connector. 8. Disconnect the ignition coil connector and spark plug cables from the coil. 9. Remove the electrical caddy fasteners (3 total). 10. Remove the wiring from the electrical caddy. 11. Remove the fasteners securing the factory ignition control module from the electrical caddy. 12. Installation of the Digital Ignition Module is the reverse of removal. 2.2 Touring Models 1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. 2. Remove the right saddlebag. 3. Gently pull the side cover from the frame downtubes (no tools required). 4. Depress the external latches and use a rocking motion to remove the electrical connector from the ignition control module. 5. Remove the two socket screws to detach the ignition control module from the electrical bracket. 6. To install the Digital Ignition Module, install and tighten the socket screws to 50-60 in-lbs . The remainder of installation is the reverse of removal. 2.3 Softail Models 1. Remove the seat. 2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. 3. Remove the two screws to free the ignition control module from the mounting bracket. 4. Depress the external latches and use a rocking motion to remove the electrical connector from the ignition control module. 5. To install the Digital Ignition Module, install and tighten the socket screws to 15-21 in-lbs . The remainder of installation is the reverse of removal
